The Cord

We are connected,
My child and I, by
An invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord
That connects us 'til birth
This cord can't been seen
By any on Earth.

This cord does it's work
Right from the start.
It binds us together
Attached to my heart.

I know that it's there
Though no one can see
The invisible cord
From my child to me.

The strength of this cord
Is hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed
It can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord
Man could create
It withstands the test
Can hold any weight.

And though you are gone,
Though you're not here with me,
The cord is still there
But no one can see.

It pulls at my heart
I am bruised...I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline
As never before.

I am thankful that God
Connects us this way
A mother and child
Death can't take it away!

I'll Be There
Daddy please don't look so sad, Momma please don't cry,
cause I am in the arms of Jesus and He sings me lullabies.
Please, try not to question God, don't think he is unkind.
Don't think He sent me to you
and then He changed his mind.
You see, I am a special child, and I'm needed up above.
I'm the special gift you gave Him, the product of your love.
I'll always be there with you, and watch the sky at night.
Find the brightest star that's gleaming,
that's my halo's brilliant light.
You'll see me in the morning frost
that mists your window pane.
That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a little breeze from a gentle wind that blows,
that's me, I'll be there, planting a kiss on your nose.
When you see a child playing

I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful grandchild, to you and Felipe's whole family. May God give you all strength through this very difficult time and in the years ahead. I lost an unborn grandchild and that was difficult enough but I can't even imagine losing any of my living ones so my heart goes out to you all. May God bless you greatly with strength and understanding when it may seem like there is none.
